FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Straight answers about pricing, timelines, and how working together works. If your question is not here, ask through the contact form and I will reply personally, usually within 1 business day.

Pricing and payments

How much does a website cost?

Fixed packages start at $1,499 for a single-page site, $3,499 for a full-stack web app, and $5,999 for custom SaaS or enterprise builds. You approve a fixed price in writing before work begins, so there are no surprise invoices.

How do payments work?

A 50% deposit reserves your start date. The balance is due before launch. Invoices are due within 14 days of receipt. I accept bank transfers and debit or credit card payments through a secure Stripe payment portal.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. Hosting, domain registration, and third-party services are your responsibility after launch, and I tell you what those cost before you commit. Everything I charge is in the written proposal.

What is your hourly rate?

Hourly work, when agreed, is billed at $150 per hour. Most projects are fixed-price, so you will know the total before work begins.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, for larger builds. Milestone-based payment schedules are available on larger, comprehensive builds. The milestones and amounts are agreed in writing before work begins.

Process and timelines

How long does a project take?

Landing pages typically take 1 to 2 weeks. Full-stack web apps take 3 to 6 weeks. Larger custom builds are scoped per project. Your written timeline is agreed before work starts.

What does the process look like from start to finish?

You send an inquiry through the contact form. I reply personally, usually within 1 business day, and we talk through what you need. You get a written proposal with a fixed price and timeline. The 50% deposit reserves your start date. I build, you review at agreed checkpoints, we do revision rounds, then we launch and I hand everything over with documentation and a handoff call.

What do you need from me to get started?

Your logo and brand assets if you have them, the text and photos you want on the site, and logins for anything we need to connect. I help you shape the messaging and structure, and you approve every word before it goes live.

How do we communicate during the project?

Directly with me. No account managers, no ticket queues. Email for updates and decisions, video calls when something is easier to talk through.

Can you work on a rush timeline?

Rush timelines are handled case by case. Pricing depends on the scope of the changes, the time required, and whether the work falls outside the original contract. Tell me your deadline and I will give you an honest answer.

What happens if I go quiet in the middle of a project?

If you go unresponsive, I will make reasonable attempts to contact you through the information you provided. If there is no response after 20 days, the deposit and any payments made toward the project are forfeited.

Revisions and changes

How many revision rounds are included?

Every project includes 2 revision rounds. Additional rounds are billed at the hourly rate and quoted before the work begins, so you always know the cost up front.

What counts as a revision versus new work?

A revision is feedback on what was agreed: wording changes, layout adjustments, color and styling tweaks. New pages, new features, or anything outside the agreed scope is quoted separately and only starts with your written approval.

Can I request changes after launch?

Yes. The Full-Stack Web App package includes 30 days of post-launch technical support. After that, changes and improvements are quoted as separate work.

Ownership, hosting, and after launch

Do I own my website?

Yes. After final payment, you own the finished code, the design assets created for your project, and your content. You also get documentation and a handoff call, so you are never locked in.

Who pays for hosting and the domain?

You do, after launch. Hosting and domain costs are separate from the build price. I deploy to your accounts or help you set them up during handoff, and I tell you the expected costs before you commit.

What happens after launch?

Every project includes documentation and a handoff call. The Full-Stack Web App package includes 30 days of post-launch technical support. Ongoing maintenance plans are quoted separately per project.

Do you offer ongoing maintenance?

Yes. Maintenance and support plans are quoted separately per project, based on what your site needs. There is no obligation to take one.

What if I need to cancel the project?

Either of us can cancel with written notice. If you cancel after work has begun, the deposit is non-refundable and you are responsible for payment for work completed to date. If I cancel, any deposit for uncompleted work is refunded.

Content and design

Do you write the website copy?

I structure your message and sharpen the wording so it reads clearly and converts. If you need full copywriting from scratch, we can scope that as part of the project.

Will my site be built from a template?

No. Every package includes custom design. Your site is designed around your business and your content, not squeezed into a pre-made theme.

Can you match my existing branding?

Yes. Send your logo, colors, fonts, and any brand guidelines you have, and the site will be built to match.

Can you redesign my existing site?

Yes. Tell me what is not working about the current site and what you want it to do, and I will quote the rebuild as a fixed-price project.

Do you design logos?

Yes. I design logos based on your description of what you want. If you already have a logo, I will gladly work with it.

Technical questions

What technology do you build with?

Modern, proven tools: Next.js for the site itself, Supabase for databases and user accounts, Vercel for fast global hosting, and Tailwind CSS for the design layer. You do not need to know what any of these mean. They are the reason your site loads fast, stays secure, and is easy to maintain.

Will my site work on phones?

Yes. Every site is designed mobile-first and tested across phone, tablet, and desktop sizes.

Will my site load fast?

Yes. The Single Page package targets sub-second load times, measured and reported at handoff. Speed is built in from the start, not added later.

Will my site show up on Google?

Every site ships with the technical foundations: fast load times, mobile-first responsive design, proper page titles and descriptions, and clean structure that search engines can read. Ongoing SEO and content work can be scoped separately if you want to compete for specific keywords.

Is my site secure?

Yes. Sites launch with HTTPS, secure hosting, and industry-standard practices for forms and user accounts. If your project handles sensitive data, we will discuss exactly how it is protected before building.

Can you add online payments or a store?

Yes. Stripe payment integration is included in the Custom SaaS and Enterprise package, and e-commerce functionality can be scoped into a fixed-price project. Tell me what you want to sell and how, and I will quote it.

Can the site connect to my other tools?

In most cases, yes. Third-party API and AI integrations are part of the Custom SaaS and Enterprise package. Tell me which tools you use and I will confirm what is possible before quoting.
